Mt 8:18-34

v18~22 - the cost of following Jesus--comfortable life, family duties. The reward? An abundant life on earth (see v23-27) and a crown in heaven.

v25 - A better aproach--"Lord, save us! We can't deal with this problem, but we know you can!" Therefore, we have faith and are not afraid (v26), but can still be amazed (v27).

v29 - demons know Jesus and are afraid of him (James 2:19). For the rest of us, the attitute should be, "Don't be afraid; just believe" (Luke 8:50).
