Mt 10:1-25

This is the passage about Jesus' instructions to his 12 disciples (the Twelve).

v5 - why was the first thing Jesus told them being "not to go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans?" Apperantly it's not the along the line of his teachings (he told them the Great Commission, and led the disciples through the land of Samaritan). When was this change and what caused it?

v8 - freely received freely give. We always want to keep the good things to ourselves, but Jesus told the Twelve to leave nothing for themselves. It seems as if they would have gained nothing, but I believe the blessings from (or in) heaven will be abundant (more than they could have kept). Give and you will be given even more--that seems to be the way of the Lord.

v16 - a hostile environment. Be shrewd (as a snake) and be innocent (as a dove); and be on guard against men.
