Lk 19:1-27

  • Zacchaeus
    • he was a tax collector
    • a short man and couldn't see Jesus, he climbed a sycamore-fig tree along the way Jesus was coming
    • Jesus saw him and called his name, 'Come down immediately, I must stay at your house today'
    • he hurried down and gladly welcomed Jesus
    • during Jesus' stay he stood up and said
      • he would give half of his possessions to the poor
      • return 4 times the amount to those he cheated
    • Jesus acclaimed that salvation had come to that house on that day
    • Son of Man came for what was lost
      • to seek and
      • to save them
  • Parable of 10 Minas
    • => I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away
