- Jesus stopped at Jacob's well;
- Samaritan Woman asked
- why -
- why did you ask from me, a Samaritan?
- how -
- how can you get living water?
- who -
- are you greater than our father Jacob?
- whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life
- the woman wanted the living water from Jesus
- did she get it?
- Jesus admitted to her he is the Messiah
- she almost believed (v29)
- she led others to come to Jesus--they believed (v41-42);
- did she ever truly believe?
- the scripture wasn't explicit about it;
- it's probably arguable, but from her reactions she most likely did (I just hope that could last till the end of her life, even that it is not difficult to imagine);
- those who she helped would help her to be sure--
- yes, I met the Messiah
- he spoke to me
- he knew everything about my past
- many people who came to him after hearing my story believed;
- God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth;
