Jn 1:29-51

• John recognized Jesus as Lamb of God and Son of God
  
• testified for Jesus
• but later in life also doubted (Lk 7:19);
• Jesus calls Disciples
• 2 of John's disciples followed Jesus (to see where he lived)
• one was Andrew, brother of Peter
• the first thing he did--he went to Peter and said
• we have found the Messiah
• and led him to Jesus
• Jesus gave Peter the name (he was named Simon)
• the other one is not mentioned...
• Philip
• from Bethsaida
• same as Peter and Andrew
• Philip found Nathanael
• told him that the one prophesied was Jesus of Nazareth
• Nathanael despise people of Nazareth
• come and see, said Philip
• Jesus said Nathanael was a true Israelite, nothing is false in him
• Nathanael believed because Jesus saw him even before Philip found him;
