Lk 6:12-38

• Disciples vs. Apostles
• v13:When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles;
• Jesus preached to the crowd (and healed some):
• Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets
• Love your enemies...do better than 'sinners' (who love only those who love them), then your reward will be great;
• Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful
• similar to: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect (Mt 5:48)
• very high standard, impossible without the power of the precious blood
