Mk 6:30-56

• v31: 'Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest,' Jesus told his disciples; isn't that a great idea even nowadays?
• v33: many saw them and followed; the place was quiet no more;
  
• v34: Jesus had compassion on them and began his teaching; that wasn't the plan, but Jesus saw them as sheep without a shepherd (lost, unprotected, and prone to danger);
• v44: 5000 men ate, and they were satisfied (v42); the leftover filled 12 baskets
  
• v50: Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.
• v51; When Jesus is abroad, the wind died down.
