- v30: Peter (a.k.a Simon) was married; I wonder why there's no mentioning of his wife anywhere;
- v30-34: Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law and many others; drove out many demons;
- v35: Jesus got up before daybreak to pray in a solitary place;
- v38: Jesus wanted to go elsewhere when everyone in the villages was looking for him; he came to preach, not just to heal the sicks;
- v45: again Jesus switch places when his name is known for healing a leper;
- 2:1-12: Jesus healed a Paralytic
- in Capernaum; Jesus preached in a room;
- a paralytic was carried by 4 men;
- they had to find a creative way to bring him to Jesus because of the crowd;
- so they dig a hole in the roof and lower the men in a mat to Jesus;
- Jesus saw their faith (v5);
- Which is easier?
- to heal, or
- to forgive sins
- Jesus did both (first he forgave the sins of the men, then healed his paralysis);
- the crowd was amazed and praised God!
